What does porcelain veneer treatment involve?
Consultation
Your first appointment is a detailed consultation. Your clinician will examine your teeth, discuss your goals and assess whether veneers are the right treatment for your case. A written treatment plan with full costs is provided before you proceed. For some patients, digital smile design tools or diagnostic wax-ups are used to help visualise the result before any tooth preparation begins.
Tooth preparation
A small, precise amount of enamel is removed from the front surface of each tooth being treated, typically between 0.3mm and 0.7mm. This creates space for the veneer and ensures it sits flush with the surrounding teeth without looking bulky. Local anaesthetic is used throughout. Impressions and temporaries
Once the teeth are prepared, impressions or digital scans are taken and sent to the dental laboratory where your veneers are fabricated. Temporary veneers are placed in the meantime so your teeth are protected and you are never left without a presentable result while you wait.
Laboratory fabrication
Your veneers are custom-made from high-quality dental ceramic in a dental laboratory. This stage typically takes one to two weeks. The laboratory works from the specifications agreed at your consultation — shape, shade, translucency and surface texture — to produce veneers that look as natural as possible.
Fitting appointment
At your fitting appointment the temporary veneers are removed and each porcelain veneer is tried in, checked for fit and appearance and adjusted if needed before being permanently bonded to the tooth. Your clinician will check the colour, shape and bite carefully before finalising the placement.

Porcelain veneer treatment at Brunner Court is led by Dr Natasja Kashyap, a principal dentist holding an MSc in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics from the University of Manchester, a qualification specifically focused on the design and delivery of complex restorative and cosmetic dental work.
