What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a system of clear, custom-made plastic aligners that fit snugly over the teeth and gradually move them into a straighter, more aligned position. Each aligner is worn for approximately one to two weeks before being replaced with the next in the series, with each successive aligner moving the teeth a small, precise amount in the planned direction.
Unlike fixed metal braces, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible when worn and can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing. There are no brackets to trap food and no wires to cause irritation. Most people who see you regularly will not notice you are wearing them at all.
Treatment begins with a Clin-Check, a digital scan and computer-generated simulation of how your teeth will move throughout treatment, showing you the projected end result before a single aligner is made. This gives you a clear picture of what Invisalign can achieve in your specific case before you commit to anything.
Brunner Court holds Platinum Invisalign provider status, a designation earned through consistent case volume and clinical outcomes. It places the practice among the most experienced Invisalign providers in the country and reflects the depth of expertise the team brings to every case.

Invisalign Lite
Designed for mild to moderate cases, Invisalign Lite uses up to 14 aligners per arch to correct crowding, spacing and minor alignment issues. It is a time-efficient option for patients who need a more targeted correction rather than a comprehensive full-arch treatment. Treatment typically takes three to six months.

Invisalign Full
The most comprehensive Invisalign option, using an unlimited number of aligners to address moderate to complex cases including significant crowding, spacing, overbite, underbite and crossbite. Treatment typically takes six to eighteen months depending on the complexity of the case.

Am I a suitable candidate for Invisalign?
Invisalign is suitable for a wide range of adult and teenage patients with mild to complex alignment concerns. The main requirement is that you have healthy teeth and gums before treatment begins.
Invisalign may be right for you if:
- You have crowded, spaced or misaligned teeth you would like to correct
- You want a discreet straightening option that does not involve fixed metal braces
- You are an adult or teenager with fully developed permanent teeth
- You have healthy teeth and gums with no active decay or gum disease
- You are committed to wearing the aligners for the recommended 20 to 22 hours per day
We would discuss your circumstances carefully if you:
- Have active decay or gum disease: These must be resolved before Invisalign treatment begins. Any underlying dental health issues can affect tooth movement and outcomes.
- Have severely rotated teeth or very complex bite issues: Some cases are beyond the scope of aligners alone. Your clinician will give an honest assessment at consultation of whether Invisalign can achieve the result you are looking for, or whether a combined approach with other treatment is more appropriate.
- Have dental restorations on the teeth being moved: Crowns, bridges or veneers can be moved with Invisalign in many cases, but need to be assessed individually. Your clinician will advise at consultation.
- Are not able to commit to wearing time: Invisalign only works if the aligners are worn for 20 to 22 hours per day. Patients who remove them frequently will not achieve the planned result within the projected timeframe.
What does Invisalign treatment involve?
Free consultation
Your first appointment is a free consultation with Dr Natasja Kashyap. She will examine your teeth, discuss your goals and confirm whether Invisalign is the right treatment for your case. There is no obligation to proceed.
Clin-Check and digital planning
If you decide to go ahead, a detailed digital scan of your teeth is taken and submitted to Invisalign for Clin-Check processing. This produces a 3D simulation of how your teeth will move through treatment, showing you the projected outcome before any aligners are made. The Clin-Check costs £325. Your clinician will review it with you and confirm the treatment plan before aligners are ordered.
Aligner fabrication
Your custom aligners are manufactured by Invisalign and delivered to the practice. Depending on the complexity of your case, small tooth-coloured attachments may be bonded to certain teeth to help the aligners grip and move them more effectively. These are removed at the end of treatment.
Wearing your aligners
You wear each aligner for approximately one to two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink anything other than water, brush and floss. You attend check-up appointments approximately every six to eight weeks so your clinician can monitor progress and provide the next sets of aligners.
Refinements (if needed)
In some cases, additional refinement aligners are needed towards the end of treatment to fine-tune the final position of the teeth. This is a normal and expected part of the Invisalign process and is included in your treatment plan.
Retainers
Once treatment is complete, retainers are essential to hold the teeth in their new positions. Without retainers, teeth naturally drift back towards their original positions over time. Vivera retainers (three dual-arch sets) are available from £400 and fixed retainers from £150 per arch. Retainer wear is lifelong to maintain your result.
